Services

Autonomic Nervous System Testing (ANS)

Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) testing is a specialized, non-invasive diagnostic tool used to evaluate how well the body's autonomic nervous system—which controls involuntary processes like heart rate, blood pressure, and temperature regulation—is functioning; it helps our physicians assess for conditions such as Orthostasis, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), and Peripheral Autonomic Neuropathy, and is especially valuable for patients experiencing symptoms like dizziness, fainting, rapid heartbeat upon standing, or unexplained fatigue.

EEG: Routine & Ambulatory

Electroencephalography (EEG) is a diagnostic test used to assess brain function by measuring the brain's electrical activity, helping our physicians detect abnormal patterns that can be associated with conditions such as seizure disorders and certain types of dementia; routine EEG involves a short recording session in our office, while ambulatory EEG allows for continuous monitoring over an extended period as the patient goes about their normal daily activities, providing a more comprehensive picture of brain activity and increasing the likelihood of capturing meaningful diagnostic data.

Neurocognitive Assessment Testing (NCAT)

Neurocognitive Assessment Testing (NCAT) is a computerized tool used to quickly and efficiently screen and monitor key areas of cognitive function, including memory, attention, and reaction time, and is particularly valuable for personnel following a mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI) or concussion; by establishing a personal baseline, NCAT allows our physicians to track meaningful changes in cognitive performance over time rather than serve as a simple pass/fail diagnostic tool, helping to inform and guide appropriate care decisions for conditions such as TBI.
